Versatility is what separates Blackinton apart from so many other companies. We just don't have badges that we take off the shelf. Each police badge, fire badge, sheriff's badge, etc... is custom made and personalized to that department / individual. Watch our video series (click here) and you will understand what we mean.
As you can see in the below picture our new B3606 (with the eagle) and the B3606-EO (without the eagle) can be customized to your liking. This custom badge is available with the line colors, lettering, seal, and finish of your choice.

Blackinton participates in helping Camren Moore become a State Trooper for a day!
Make-A-Wish and Pennsylvannia State Police put a smile on 11 year old Camren's face.
The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) appointed 11-year old Camren Moore as an honorary State Trooper, in conjunction with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The event was covered by several local TV stations in Harrisburg. Above is a photo from the day, specifically, one of Camren receiving his Blackinton badge. Camren was born with a brain malformation, and the doctor’s told Camren’s parents he would not live past the age of two. Camren at age 11 is truly an inspiration. On this special day Camren pulled over an SUV who was speeding and gave him a ticket... his dad stated he's only seen Camren this happy, “two weeks ago when we were here, when we came to get his uniform, he could not stop smiling.” Click Here to see news coverage on the ceremony.

Blackinton wins 2014 Global Trade Award
AIM's (Associated Industries of Massachusetts) international business council has awarded Blackinton the Diplomat's award for excellence in International trade.
The award recognizes excellence among Massachusetts businesses engaged in international trade. Blackinton will be presented with the award on May 9, 2014, at AIM’s annual meeting.
Blackinton is the largest worldwide manufacturer of police, fire, security, military, and government metal badges and uniform insignia. Blackinton was established in 1852, over 162 years ago, and since this time the company’s manufacturing facility has been operating in Attleboro Falls, Massachusetts, employing its residents.
The catalyst for Blackinton’s international business was the launch of the company’s high security badges that incorporate RFID technology and color-shifting enamels. The security badges were developed to meet the needs of customers most concerned with officer authentication and badge anti-counterfeiting. These products are most valued in countries where police corruption and cartel activities are most active. In Mexico, and many Central and South American countries, the Blackinton security badges meet a very serious need. The company’s high security badges are its primary export.
Blackinton has utilized many U.S. Department of Commerce programs to help grow its international business. Since 2008, Blackinton has experienced a dramatic growth in its export sales, growing between 50-100% each year. Peter Roque, President of Blackinton®, stated “We are proud of our U.S. heritage and Massachusetts history, and we are honored to receive this prestigious award. Being recognized for our efforts in international trade is a testament to the company’s commitment to developing innovative products that meet the ever changing needs of our customers. ”
